CHANGCHUN, Northeast China, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) --- American guard Tasheed Carr arrived Monday at northeast Chinese Changchun City, capital of Jilin Province, to join the Northeast Tigers of the China Basketball Association (CBA).
Carr is going to fight for the Jilin team in Wednesday's CBA league match instead of the injured forward Leon Rodgers temporarily together with DeAngelo Collins, and will replace Collins after Rodgers' rehabilitation, since the CBA regulated that only two foreign players could serve for one team.
The 25-year old Carr, with 1.93 meters in height and 95 kilograms in weight, had played for the National Collegiate Association America (NCAA) and the Israeli Basketball Super League (BSL).
Carr, with an average of 16 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1 steal and 5 assists, left the BSL because of some family reasons last December.
